Catch Up

Hey lovelies!
So I have been gone for awhile.
This semester has been CRAZY!
Anatomy is kicking my booty to say the least.
But it is finally slowing down a bit, so I can come back to the blogging world. I really have missed it.
This blog has been such an outlet for my creativity, my stressors, everything. But I had to put my husband and studying before this blog. And that is what I did.

Let me just say I am ecstatic to be back!
I don't really know where to start, so I will do what I do best and make a list of what has been going on in my life.

  • We went to Colorado for spring break. It was SO MUCH FUN. We went skiing, shopping, watched basketball, pitch perfect (for the 20th time), we ate the the most delicious restaurant. We enjoyed ourselves to say the least.

Bryan's first plane ride.

And I have the silliest cousins ever. They were so much fun to spend time with.
  •  I had a great time celebrating my 20th birthday, and also spending our first valentines day together.

  •  I have spent more time studying this semester than any other time in my college career, I sure hope it pays off. My classes are very difficult but I just have to get through them. I love what im studying its just hard stuff, but what isn't?
& There are probably hundreds of other things that have happened, but literally our lives have been spent studying, working, going to class, and sleeping.

This is all for today. But i'm not going away for long!

I've missed this!

2013 Goals

Hey it’s 2013!
Can you believe it?
The holidays are over, and we made it. We made it!
That means I get to start looking forward to what this year is going to bring for Bryan and I!
So in today’s post, I am going to share with you some of my goals for the year!

Here they are…

§  Get a higher GPA this semester than I have yet; make the dean’s list!
§  Stay on a budget, and keep track of spending

§  Dig deeper into God’s word
§  Pray for my husband everyday
§  Finish watching Grey’s Anatomy
§  Try new drinks at Starbucks
§  Stay organized with school, and our apartment
§  Work out; lose the weight that I need to, to feel confident
§  Make it a must to go on a date with my husband at least twice a month
§  Tithe weekly
§  Take a trip to Colorado with Bryan
§  Get a tattoo
§  Spend more quiet time with the Lord

And I know that I am missing LOTS of things that I want to do this year, but here is a few things!

2012 Review

Hey loves,
Today is the one and only post about 2012. The best year of my life.
It was the year that made my dreams come true.
I can’t wait to tell you guys all about it!
So without waiting any further…
This was my 2012.

January
I got to celebrate the New Year with my fiancé at the time, and come back to Ball State to start on my spring semester. This was the month that I had a mental break down about when to have our wedding. My best friend Megan helped Bryan and I make a pro/con list of why/why not it would be better for us to get married in the summer time. Instead of December (in the middle of a semester). Thank goodness she was there to help influence the best decision we have ever made. Man I wish I would have taken a picture of that list. Lists literally make my world go round.

February
I celebrated my 19th birthday! It was my first year being away from home for my birthday. So that was a little tough on me, but luckily I have the best family that came and stayed in a hotel near me so that I could spend my birthday with them… and again spend it with my lovely fiancĂ©! OH and for Valentine’s Day I specifically remember Bryan and I’s nice little date to go see The Vow. I loved it, and so did he.

March
This was a very exciting month for me. For the first week of March I was on spring break… and we went wedding dress shopping! I know. It was everything I dreamed of. My mom, grandma, aunt, and maid of honor all got to come with me to find the most amazing dress that I could have ever imagined. I fell in love as soon as I started to put it on, and now that we are passed our wedding I feel like I can post these pictures from the bridal salon. If you are a bride-to-be bring tissues with you the day that you plan to pick out your dress. I also had my first bridal shower in March during spring break with my mom’s side of the family. It was much fun.

April
It felt like April took FOREVER this year. Nothing exciting happened that I can think of. Just studied all the time.

May
I survived my 2nd finals week at Ball State University. There not as bad as everyone says. The week before finals is always worst for me. But then summer vacation started… and this meant full blown wedding planning began for our July 28th wedding. In may I also started babysitting for the most beautiful little kids that were such a joy over the summer.

June
I had my second bridal shower this month with Bryan’s family. It was also much fun. And it was a lot warmer so that meant swimming afterwards… I mean we did go swimming practically every day. And when we didn't go swimming I was taking my babysitting kids to the beach. I know what a life right? It was pretty much the best job in the world. Plus I had the best kids. I also had my Bachelorette party put on by some of my favorite girls in the world. We had the best time and I am so lucky to have them make it such a special day for me!

July
Oh July. Where to start. July 28th 2012 was the most beautiful and heart-warming day of my life. It is the day that I got to tie the knot with my husband. It is a day that we spent months of hard-work preparing for, and a day I wish I could live over again and again. I can’t put it into words how special this day was for our family and friends to see Bryan and I join as one. And to hear us promise our vows to each other. “Til death do us part” has never meant more to me until I married this man. My man.

We of course got to go on a honeymoon to Gatlinburg, TN after the wedding. In a cute little cabin in the mountains. We had lots of fun in Gatlinburg, but I will just leave it at that. I would rather you keep to yourselves what you did on your honeymoon, wouldnt you like for me to do the same? Hehe.

August
Then August rolls around as fast as can be and it’s time for us to move into our new place. We got all of our things organized and set-up just the way we like it. It was so much fun. We also got to spend a lot of time just learning to live together before class started up. Let me tell ya, we thought we knew everything about each other… that was not the case. The part where I thought that if I told Bryan to put the toilet seat down three times he would start doing it. No. Not happening. I just have to pick my battles right? We also started our fall semester at Ball State.

Oh I also chopped my hair off in August. Oops.

September
We adopted our pride and joy Bo. Our little love bug that completes our family. He is perfect.

October
Ehh nothing exciting in October really, expect I got a job at Olive Garden. And that I waited outside to close to 16 hours for tickets to see Oprah.

November
Bryan and I celebrated our first Thanksgiving together as a married couple; we also got to decorate our little apartment for Christmas. This was one of my favorite things about being married so far. It was so much fun decorating. Also... I got to see Oprah! She was amazing, and so inspirational. Last but not least on the 29th our niece Savannah Christine was born!

December
Now it is December and we are getting ready to celebrate our first Christmas together as cute little married people. It’s so much fun getting in the Christmas spirit together, and watching Elf all the time with hot Chocolate in hand.

How is that for a 2012 in review?
Pretty busy year don’t you think?
But an amazing one at that.
I know that took awhile, but it was well worth all of it.
Thanks for reading!

Sunday Social

Hello.
What’s up?
This girl is sick… again. Literally three days ago I was in bed sick, and now here I am again. But before I keep complaining, I need to mention how my heart is just aching for the people affected by the shooting in Connecticut. It just brings tears to my eyes just writing this post. It’s so scary how cruel this world we live in can be. And to harm innocent little children, seems like the worse thing someone can do. I also want to commend how strong and courageous the staff was at that school. How they stood up for their students and did everything in their power to protect them is something that those families with forever be grateful for.

Because of this tragedy I will be participating in a blog silence on Tuesday. You can read more here, and I really encourage you do to the same.

Here are this week’s questions for Sunday Social.

Sunday Social

 1. What is the wallpaper on your cell phone?
I have a picture from our wedding for my background, and a picture of a bible verse on the lock screen.

2. What do you keep beside your bed?
Well because I am sick right now I have tissues, melatonin, and water. But what stays there all the time is my kindle, a lamp, and a picture.

3. What is your least favorite chore?
I hate doing dishes; I would rather clean our whole apartment. But depending on the day I hate laundry just as much.

4. If you could eliminate one thing from your daily routine, what would it be?
The feeling of being so tired when I wake up. I would love to wake up ready to go and get stuff done right when I wake up in the morning.

5. What do you do to vent anger?
I talk to my husband, my mom, or my best friend Megan. Depending on what is making me so very angry.

6. What is your favorite holiday of the year and why?
I love Christmas. It is such a cheery time of the year, and it brings our families together.

Hope you enjoyed.
Don’t forget about Tuesday!

Much love.

Confessional Friday

TGIF! Happy Friday people!
It’s finally here, finals week is over for Ball State… even though I was finished Tuesday.
Yay for me!
Now its relaxation time for the hubs and I. Oh wait I have been doing that all week!
& it’s time for confessional Friday!

§  I confess that I have spent more time in bed this week than I have since we have lived in our apartment. This kinda has to do with the fact that I was sick, and that I am addicted to a certain show on Netflix…
§  I confess that I am addicted to One Tree Hill. It may seem a bit over the top sometimes, but man I am in love.

§  I confess that I am more than excited to go home and bake this weekend. There is just something about getting together with my family and baking that makes me smile.
§  I confess that Christmas has been so much more fun for me this year, because I have a decorated apartment, and a husband to celebrate with for the whole month of December. Yes I am one of those people.
§  I confess that I still have Christmas shopping to do for a few people in our families.
§  I confess that last night before I went to sleep, I planned it all out in my head how Bryan and I are going to move to Colorado after we graduate. No joke. Hopefully it works out the way that I want it to. But sometimes God has bigger and better plans for us.
§  I confess that coming across the “I Will Speak Up for Animals” button from Jesslyn Amber, really got my attention. & I love what she is doing to stop all kinds of animal abuse. It is really moving. You should go check it out if you have any love for animals. Its linked up below or on my sidebar.

Photobucket
§  I confess that I really want it to snow! I want it to feel like December around here! Stupid Indiana weather!
§  I confess that I really dislike one of my managers from work. I just had to get that one off my chest. I guess every place you work there is at least one authoritative figure who just pushes your buttons. Welp, I found mine.
§  I confess that I have been dying to go to the circle center mall in Indy, but Bryan never seems to want to go. So I need to find a friend to accompany me.

That’s all of my juicy confessions today.
I hope you enjoyed, and I hope you have a great day!
XOXO
